My Makeup Essentials

Hey there,

I personally love makeup blogs and in particular posts about Beauty or Skincare Essentials so I decided to make my own post! Even though I don’t really ever wear a full face of makeup (I hate the feeling of makeup on my skin and it sometimes makes me breakout) I definitely do have a few ‘holy grail’ products that I use again and again. So I thought I would share them with you guys! Hope you enjoy:

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara – Honestly, I loveeee this mascara and I have to say it is currently my favourite mascara that I own, (closely followed by the clinique mascara). It always gives my eyelashes lots of volume and incredible length. You can get a dramatic effect with only a single coat of mascara which usually never happens! The cream and gel wax formula is amazing and never clumps my lashes together. I actually got this from one of Marzia’s Summer Favourites box as well as some other beauty goodies. (Btw the reason why my hands look so red in the pics is because the lighting is horrible)

Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip in shades Zuma and Doozy – Colourpop’s Ultra Blotted Lips are there perfect balance a matte liquid lipstick and a lip gloss. This lip product gives you the perfect a perfect diffused just-blotted look that feels oh-so soft on your lips. It is also medium coverage and the packaging is super cute. Doozy is a gorgeous warm-rose colour that looks amazing on all skin tones and Zuma is a warm-dusty-pink nude that is perfect  for an everyday makeup look.

Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight in shade Hefty Highlight – I literally use this stick like everyday and is not-too-subtle and not-too-blinding. It is easily glides on top of the skin and really accentuates your cheekbones, bridge of nose, cupids bow and other high points on the face. I love stick makeup products mainly because I am not bothered to find a brush to use (lol) and I feel that cream makeup blends into the skin beautifully. This highlighter is superrrrr long wearing and also oil-free which make it even better!

Clinique Bronzer/Highlighter/Eyeshadow in shade Almond Blossom – For some reason I couldn’t find this multi-purpose pressed powder anywhere on the Clinique store. This is multi-purpose, two coloured, shimmery powder is a makeup life saver! I always carry it with me when I go out as it can be used as a gorgeous natural bronzery, subtle highlighter or even an eyeshadow. When I use it as an eyeshadow all I do is pack the golden brown shade into my crease and lid, and then put the light tan shade on the centre of the lid and directly underneath my brow bone and inner corner.

Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow in shade Creamy Cinnamon – This beautiful and creamy blush is a gorgeous colour and blends like a dream onto the skin. It is a dusty, deep pink colour that gives you a warm glow and adds lots of dimension to your face. The blush also has a slight shimmer which I love. It is pretty pigmented and there is little to no fallout which is often hard to find in drugstore products. I love wearing this with a glossy nude lip for an everyday makeup look.

Blog Post Ideas!

A few days ago, I was thinking about some blogging ideas and topics I had for future blog posts and I thought it would be a great idea to share some of these things with all of you! Occasionally I have blogging blocks and whenever that happens I look back onto my trusty blogging diary where I write down any ideas no matter how random they are (and trust me some are suppperrrrr random) each month and see if any of them spark my interest. I would definitely recommend using a notepad that you take with you wherever you go so you can quickly write down any thoughts you have without the risk of forgetting them.

I hope you like my ideas ❤️

  •  FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) –  where you discuss any questions that your readers have had like when did you begin blogging, what photo editing tools you use and how often do you post for example.

  • Writing Tips – Some tricks and tips you have learned about how to improve and better your writing

  • Your Favourite Recipe – Make a post about your absolute favourite recipe; whether its a delicious salad, a mouth watering pizza, a scrumptious pudding or just your favourite cereal combination!

  • Fav Fashion 5 – Your 5 favourite clothing items that you have been absolutely loving recently! Make sure to tell your readers why you love these particular clothes. You could also do this idea with one particular aspect of an outfit like the pants, accessories or tops

  • Everyday makeup tutorial – Share your current everyday makeup tutorial that you love featuring your ‘holy grail’ makeup products

  • ‘Beauty on a budget’ makeup look – Everybody loves a makeup look using only cheap products that you can find at your local drugstore. Brands include L’o’real, Revlon, NYX and Colourpop (one of my fav makeup brands ever)

  • Review – You could do a review on practically anything including a book, movie, travel destination, makeup product, clothing product or brand in general. Make sure to give it a final rating. Take a look at my review of the Wonder Woman movie here

I hope that these blog post ideas helped to inspire you to write if you ever have writers-block and can’t work out what you want to write on your blog!

Marzia’s Merch Part 1: Unboxing and first thoughts!

I am sooooo happy right now because all of the products I brought from Marzia’s Online Store finally arrived! I purchased a forest creature tote bag, a forest creature pouch and the Summer Faves Box.

Each Summer Faves Box contains:

DERMA E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

Leaders Cosmetics USA Aloe Soothing Renewal Mask

Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Mascara

Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk

Crabtree & Evelyn Caribbean Island Wild Flowers Hand Therapy

ColourPop Pressed Powder in Come and Get It

Honest Beauty Truly Kissable Sheer Lip Crayon in Chestnut Kiss

When ordering, I used a one-day only code that enabled me to receive free shipping which I am sooooo thankful for because the shipping would have cost more than 50 dollars! Here are some pictures of me first unpacking all my goodies:

My first look at my package! You can’t tell by the picture, but the box was quite small but it managed to pack everything I bought perfectly!

The open box.

This is the cute little ‘menu’ I got with the package which lists and describes everything inside.

The gorgeous freebie I received. I haven’t tried it yet but I think the colour is amazing!

Now I don’t know much about makeup packaging but this mascara is so sleek and striking my eyes can not help being drawn to it! Can you believe it is worth more than half the cost of the entire Summer Faves Box! What a bargain!

Oh my gosh the colour of this lipstick is everrrryyyyttttthhhhiiinnnggggg! I am so excited to try it on!

I haven’t tried a proper face mask before so this product is particularly intriguing to me…..

This awesome shimmery, rusty pink kind of eyeshadow that in my opinion matches beautifully with the lip crayon.

I already know that this travel friendly Vitamin C Concentrated Serum is going to do wonders for my face!

I just realized that I forgot to take a pic of the dry shampoo I received but I can assure you it smells so good it is not funny! I would definitely recommend buying something from Marzia’s online store, especially if shipping isn’t too expensive. I will make a part two soon where I will swatch the products and review each one.

Here is the supeeeeerrrrrr cute pouch I bought which is such an amazing size and is made of really strong durable material! I absolutely love it!

This is the amazing tote bag which is just as cute and is made of an even stronger material! My only complaint is that the bag isn’t long enough for me and hangs to high on my body.

Have you ever bought something from Marzia? Did you like what you bought?
