Lazy Oaf Wishlist!

Hey there,

A few days ago I was scrolling through the online store Lazy Oaf and I found myself mentally listing products that I would oh so love to buy! I love Lazy Oaf because everything they make is really quirky and unusual. But I can’t buy anything from there because: 1. I am nervous that if I buy clothes online they won’t fit   2. Everything is in English pounds not AUS dollars so it is hard to tell how much something is and 3. Everything is SUPER expensive like if you wanted a pair of socks than it would be at least 17 dollars and about 20 dollars in shipping – so for now I will be happy enough with a wish list.

Here is my wishlist:

Countries and Places I Have Been To

Today’s blog is going to be about places I have been to. I absolutely love travelling and it is one of my favourite things to do. I think it so great because travelling is escaping from our own little world and enables you to see things you never thought you could. I have travelled to 8 different countries and I love every single one. The countries I have been to are in order of when I visited: (btw there are no pics that I took when I was there, that will probably be in a separate post)

  1. B A L I- I loveeeeee Bali (In Indonesia) and I have already been there three times! It is such a great place to relax and chill and spend some time unwinding! Everything looks so beautiful and serene there. It is also reallllllyyyyyy cheap, for example I once got a full body massage for 30 minutes on the beach and it was less than ten dollars!
This looks exactly like the sunset I saw when I went!

2.  H O N G   K O N G- Hong Kong was the first stop on my world trip and is a stunning, vibrant, densely populated urban city in China! It is filled to the brim with high end fashion shops, huge shopping centres, beautiful architecture  and skyscrapers so tall you have to tilt your head back all the way! Did I mention the markets – they are a must if you ever visit Hong Kong!

3. L O N D O N- London is probably my favourite place to ever visit! I just can not describe how much I love it! Every where you go is too gorgeous for words! The landmarks England are famous for such as The Big Ben, London Bridge, The British Museum and the Tate Gallery are amazing! Also, when I went every single meal I ate was delish!

4. P A R I S- Oh Paris, Paris. What can I say! The entire city is littered with cute little french bakeries that sell the most fantastic croissants and other delectable pastries and awesome cafes! It is also the world’s fashion central and the architecture is absolutely breathtaking. And nothing beats gazing upon the famous Eiffel Tower in the night.

5. B A R C E L O N A- Barcelona was my favourite place to go to in terms of art and architecture! Every body is so friendly and lovely there and as you would expect, the traditional spanish food like paella and tapas tastes ten times better in Spain. One of my favourite sights in Barcelona was the Sagrada Familia, a large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, designed by Antoni Gaudí was so astonishing it nearly brought me to tears.

Look at how detailed it is!

6. R O M E- Rome is definitely the most historical place I have ever been to. Rome is a cosmopolitan city that has been around for nearly 3,000 years! Rome displays are large variety of globally influential art, architecture and culture. My two favourite places that I visited were the grand colosseum and the magnificent Vatican City.

7. N E W   Y O R K-  New York is home to some of the world’s major commercial, financial and cultural centers and has more amazing tourist attractions and iconic sites than you can ever imagine! It is always bustling with activity and has a sort of energy that no other city in the world has. In my opinion, the best thing about New York is walking down Times Square at night with the neon signs lighting your path.

8. H A W A I I- Hawaii definitely does not disappoint. Every where you go there is another rugged hill filled with lush green grass swaying in the wind, or golden beaches with silky sand and lapping waves or sunset painting multiple colours in the sky. Hawaii is definitely another place where you go to relax, unwind and… tan! Also, the Cheesecake Factory is a MUST to visit!

So those are all the countries I have been to, make sure to like and follow this blog if you enjoyed it 🙂

Have you ever been to any of these places? What is your favourite country that you have visited? Let me know in the comments below.

Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 1.14.55 pm.png

My first look at my package! You can’t tell by the picture, but the box was quite small but it managed to pack everything I bought perfectly!

Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 2.35.24 pm.png

The open box.

Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 1.20.26 pm.png

This is the cute little ‘menu’ I got with the package which lists and describes everything inside.

The gorgeous freebie I received. I haven’t tried it yet but I think the colour is amazing!

Now I don’t know much about makeup packaging but this mascara is so sleek and striking my eyes can not help being drawn to it! Can you believe it is worth more than half the cost of the entire Summer Faves Box! What a bargain!

Oh my gosh the colour of this lipstick is everrrryyyyttttthhhhiiinnnggggg! I am so excited to try it on!

Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 1.35.03 pm.png

I haven’t tried a proper face mask before so this product is particularly intriguing to me…..

Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 2.19.41 pm.png

This awesome shimmery, rusty pink kind of eyeshadow that in my opinion matches beautifully with the lip crayon.

Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 2.22.54 pm.png

I already know that this travel friendly Vitamin C Concentrated Serum is going to do wonders for my face!

I just realized that I forgot to take a pic of the dry shampoo I received but I can assure you it smells so good it is not funny! I would definitely recommend buying something from Marzia’s online store, especially if shipping isn’t too expensive. I will make a part two soon where I will swatch the products and review each one.

Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 4.59.24 pm.png

Here is the supeeeeerrrrrr cute pouch I bought which is such an amazing size and is made of really strong durable material! I absolutely love it!

Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 4.59.16 pm.pngScreen Shot 2017-07-06 at 4.59.33 pm.png

This is the amazing tote bag which is just as cute and is made of an even stronger material! My only complaint is that the bag isn’t long enough for me and hangs to high on my body.

Have you ever bought something from Marzia? Did you like what you bought?

Sole e Luna (My Poem)

Hello there,

This is a sonnet I wrote for a project and the title means Sun and Moon in Italian. Just a disclaimer, I am not some professional poet and this is my first attempt at writing a poem, so if it is horrible please do not judge. Here it goes….

The glowing medallion in the sky

Travels across the blue expanse

A puppeteer to moving shadows

A blanket of warmth to a shivering child

Speckling those who bathe in his glory

With freckles dotting along their nose

A ball of fire, emitting forceful energy

To those who gaze upon his heavenly body

The shimmering face illuminates the dark

Reflecting off the still, silvery waters

The lapping tides at her absolute command

She casts a spell on the coal, black night

A changing being, waxing and waning

Luna rests as the golden light envelopes the night

A Special Birthday Dinner and a Quick OOTD!

Hello my loveliessss,

A you could probably tell from the title of this blog, it was someone’s birthday today and to celebrate,  my family and I  went out for a lovely dinner! No, no it wasn’t my birthday, but my beautiful and caring mother’s birthday, who I love to the moon and back! We decided to go to one of my absolute favourite restaurants Bitton for dinner! I adore going there because 1. The food is so amazing it is not funny! 2. The staff are always really polite and kind and 3. The actual design and ‘vibe’ I get from this restaurant is outstanding!

While I was writing this blog, I thought to myself I a may as well write an OOTD so here it is… I didn’t actually wear this to dinner because in my opinion it didn’t look formal enough but I think it is such a great everyday outfit.

I usually don’t wear chokers, but the dress and top came with it so I put it on and I think it really matched the outfit. Of course I had to wear my converse because I am absolutely in love with them!

I chose to brighten up the outfit with a light green, embroidered bomber jacket.

So onto my super scrumptious dinner! As I said, we went to one of my favourite restaurants Bitton and my family and I all had such an amazing time. I ordered the John Dory steamed fish with potatoes and other yummy vegetables and I was not disappointed! The fish was perfectly cooked and was so delicious and tender!

This is what everybody else got: (by the way, the pics do not do the food justice!)

I am literally drooling at the thought of all the food 🙂

We had such a great time going out and my mum was surprised with delicious chocolate cupcakes and a chocolate fudge cake!

Lemonade Scones!!

Hi there,

Today I decided to post a blog about some lemonade scones I made today because I haven’t posted a cooking blog in such a long time. Not to brag, but these are probably one of the tastiest scones I have tasted in my life!

These scones are so easy and fun to make and only require 6 ingredients not including toppings that are all pantry staples. Also, what I love is that you don’t need any fancy equipment to make the Lemonade Scones as you only need an oven and a rolling pin. They also are super quick to make and  from getting out the ingredients to putting the first amazing scone in your mouth it only takes around half an hour. Oh, and don’t be scared that there is lemonade in the scones, you can’t even taste it!

Screen Shot 2017-06-18 at 5.16.44 pm.png

Also, if you want a cooking measurement converter then click  here. So here is the recipe:

  • 2 cups (300g) self raising flour, sifted
  • 1/4 cup (55g) caster sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) thickened cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) lemonade
  • 2 tablespoons (40ml) milk
  • Jam and whipped cream or you favourite toppings, to serve

Screen Shot 2017-06-18 at 4.51.01 pm.png

Method –

  1.  Preheat the oven to 220 c or 430 Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking tray
  2. Place the flour, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large bowl. Add the cream and lemonade and mix to form a soft dough. (do not worry if it looks crumbly and feels a bit weird, it just means you are doing it right)
  3. Screen Shot 2017-06-18 at 4.51.16 pm.png
  4. Turn out onto a lightly floured workbench and knead lightly until combined. Roll the dough with a roller to a thickness of about 2 centimetres or 0.8 inches.
  5. Screen Shot 2017-06-18 at 4.51.52 pm.png
  6. Use a 6 cm round cutter to cut out as many scones as you can, place on baking tray and brush the tops with some of the milk (you do not have to use it all). Re roll scraps to make a few extra scones if you can.
  7. Screen Shot 2017-06-18 at 4.51.31 pm.png
  8. Bake for 10-15min in the oven or until lightly browned.
  9. Serve warm with your favourite toppings (mine is jam and whipped cream!)

Before and after oven pic-

My Bucket List!

I know I am practically copying every single blogger in the universe but… I decided to write a bucket list. The weird thing is, when I was younger, people would always talk about their bucket list and because I had no idea what it was at that stage I would be like ‘why on earth do you want to write a list on a bucket’. I went about that way for about 3 years before someone actually told me what it was.

So if you do not know, a bucket list is a list of hopes and things you plan to accomplish before you die. This is mine (in no particular order):

  • Go skydiving

  • Meet someone who inspires me
  • Learn another language

  • Learn to draw (well) because right now I can draw as well as I could when I was 7
  • Go scuba-diving

  • Run a marathon
  • Meet someone famous
  • Actually make a good DIY
  • Do a mud run
  • Go horseback riding

  • Try an extreme sport

  • Cook a three course meal
  • Do volunteer work in another country
  • Stop a bully
  • Go vegetarian for a month

  • Befriend a stranger
  • Climb a mountain

  • Own a dog
  • Be an extra in a movie
  • Dance in the rain
  • Binge watch a series (because that is what Netflix is for)

  • Have a sad movie marathon
  • Fall in love
  • Have an awesome comeback to an insult
  • Travel around the world for a year

So this is my bucket list and I will probably add new things when I think of them. Thank you so much for reading and if you like my blog please be sure to follow it!

Yesterday’s adventure in Newtown!

Wow, that was a long greeting. Yesterday, I travelled to Newtown with my family to meet up with some of my cousins and we all went out for dinner. We had a really great time and I thought it would be good to share with you all some pics of the fun things we did yesterday. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to snap too many pics but here are a few…

Screen Shot 2017-06-11 at 4.20.39 pm.pngScreen Shot 2017-06-11 at 4.25.32 pm.png

These are two  pictures taken  outside my aunt’s apartment window. The first is  of the city and Centre Point Tower and the second is of the gigantic clouds in the evening sky.

The next few pics were taken at Hollis park in Newtown:
