My Makeup Essentials

Hey there,

I personally love makeup blogs and in particular posts about Beauty or Skincare Essentials so I decided to make my own post! Even though I don’t really ever wear a full face of makeup (I hate the feeling of makeup on my skin and it sometimes makes me breakout) I definitely do have a few ‘holy grail’ products that I use again and again. So I thought I would share them with you guys! Hope you enjoy:

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara – Honestly, I loveeee this mascara and I have to say it is currently my favourite mascara that I own, (closely followed by the clinique mascara). It always gives my eyelashes lots of volume and incredible length. You can get a dramatic effect with only a single coat of mascara which usually never happens! The cream and gel wax formula is amazing and never clumps my lashes together. I actually got this from one of Marzia’s Summer Favourites box as well as some other beauty goodies. (Btw the reason why my hands look so red in the pics is because the lighting is horrible)

Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip in shades Zuma and Doozy – Colourpop’s Ultra Blotted Lips are there perfect balance a matte liquid lipstick and a lip gloss. This lip product gives you the perfect a perfect diffused just-blotted look that feels oh-so soft on your lips. It is also medium coverage and the packaging is super cute. Doozy is a gorgeous warm-rose colour that looks amazing on all skin tones and Zuma is a warm-dusty-pink nude that is perfect  for an everyday makeup look.

Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight in shade Hefty Highlight – I literally use this stick like everyday and is not-too-subtle and not-too-blinding. It is easily glides on top of the skin and really accentuates your cheekbones, bridge of nose, cupids bow and other high points on the face. I love stick makeup products mainly because I am not bothered to find a brush to use (lol) and I feel that cream makeup blends into the skin beautifully. This highlighter is superrrrr long wearing and also oil-free which make it even better!

Clinique Bronzer/Highlighter/Eyeshadow in shade Almond Blossom – For some reason I couldn’t find this multi-purpose pressed powder anywhere on the Clinique store. This is multi-purpose, two coloured, shimmery powder is a makeup life saver! I always carry it with me when I go out as it can be used as a gorgeous natural bronzery, subtle highlighter or even an eyeshadow. When I use it as an eyeshadow all I do is pack the golden brown shade into my crease and lid, and then put the light tan shade on the centre of the lid and directly underneath my brow bone and inner corner.

Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow in shade Creamy Cinnamon – This beautiful and creamy blush is a gorgeous colour and blends like a dream onto the skin. It is a dusty, deep pink colour that gives you a warm glow and adds lots of dimension to your face. The blush also has a slight shimmer which I love. It is pretty pigmented and there is little to no fallout which is often hard to find in drugstore products. I love wearing this with a glossy nude lip for an everyday makeup look.

Blog Post Ideas!

A few days ago, I was thinking about some blogging ideas and topics I had for future blog posts and I thought it would be a great idea to share some of these things with all of you! Occasionally I have blogging blocks and whenever that happens I look back onto my trusty blogging diary where I write down any ideas no matter how random they are (and trust me some are suppperrrrr random) each month and see if any of them spark my interest. I would definitely recommend using a notepad that you take with you wherever you go so you can quickly write down any thoughts you have without the risk of forgetting them.

I hope you like my ideas ❤️

Baked Sweet Potato Crisps!

Why hello there,

Today I am going  to do  another cooking blog! I haven’t done one for quite a bit of time so I thought it was time. I made Baked Sweet Potato Crisps and they were SO GOOOOOODDDDDDDD 😍 It makes me feel so good knowing that I am eating something so tasty that is actually healthy!

So here is the recipe (if you want to see the original click here):

2 Large Sweet Potatoes (I actually used 5, and therefore more olive oil and salt)

2 tablespoons of Olive Oil

1 teaspoon of salt

Half a teaspoon smoked Paprika

  1. Preheat oven to 121 C or 250 degrees F
  2. Rinse thoroughly and dry the sweet potatoes
  3. Slice them as thin as possible. Use a mandolin if you have one. If you don’t have one use a very sharp knife. Know that chips that are too thick in parts won’t crisp up all the way. Still delicious, just not “chip” crispiness.

  1. Toss slices in the olive oil to lightly coat and then sprinkle with salt.
  2.  Lay out in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 2 hours, flipping chips at least once at halfway point to ensure even cooking.

  1. Remove once crisp and golden brown. Leave for 10 minutes or so to crisp up before eating. Serve immediately afterwards
  2. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

(For some reason I lost the picture of the end result about 3.934 seconds before posting so this picture is from Paleo Grub 😂)Screen Shot 2018-02-11 at 4.46.42 pm.png

So that is it! I really hope you enjoyed reading this recipe and if you ever decide to make them I would absolutely love to see pictures!

My Quick Everyday Home Workout (Without Weights!)

I thought I would like to share with you my current quick, everyday home workout that doesn’t USE any weights. I made sure that there were no weights needed for this particular workout so that everyone can do it, whether you have access to gym equipment or not. But you can easily use weights if you want to!

So here is the workout, and I made sure that there was a combination of exercises that strengthen a particular part of your body. (You can also alter the amount or length of each exercise to make it easier or harder). Here it goes!

  • 20 crunches

  • 20 squats

  • 20 pushups

  • 15 fire hydrants each leg

  • 20 butt raises

  • 10 burpees (chest to ground)

  • 30 seconds of fast running on the spot

  • 15 leg lifts on the ground

  • 10 front support twists each arm

  • 15 lunges each leg

  • 20 ankle raises

  • 50 mountain climbers

  • 20 russian twists with feet raised

  • 20 donkey kicks on hands and knees (each leg)

  • 10 burpees (chest to ground)

  • 30 seconds of fast running on the spot

That is my go to quick, weightless workout that I currently do as often as I can. It may seem a bit difficult to you but it is because I have been working out and doing strength since I was 5 (for gymnastics), so I am used to difficult, high intensity workouts.

I would love to hear if you tried this workout at home and if you thought it benefited you in any way.

Dior Exhibition NGV Melbourne!

Today I have a very exciting blog about the 70 years of Dior exhibition in the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) with lots of pictures of the absolutely stunning dresses and outfits on showcase. (By the way, I did travel to Melbourne for a small holiday and even though I was planning on blogging about it, I was only there for a few days so I decided to just enjoy myself )

When I first entered the NGV and went to line up for the exhibition there was 50 people waiting in line to go in, that’s how popular the exhibition was! After waiting half an hour in what seemed like a never ending queue we finally entered a huge part of the museum which was lined with the beautiful dresses that Dior has produced ever since 1946! Every single dress was so intricately designed and some took hundreds of hours to make. I don’t think we, living in the 21st century where we can buy a dress for ten bucks at target realise how much effort it used to take to just make one dress.

So here are some pics of the dressess!

This was the first dress ever made by Dior and is extremely famous and well known.
That bow though 😂

See how packed it was!

This is a board of the material the designers actually used to make this drop dead gorgeous gowns!

There were many different designers for Dior throughout the years who had very different taste in fashion and different aims for the fashion company. Some designers who worked for Dior are Yves Saint Laurent, John Galliano and Marc Bohan.

These two dresses would have to be one of my favourites! I literally stood there looking at all the intricate details of these dresses for ten minutes!

So that was it! I had such an amazing time at the Dior Exhibition NGV in Melbourne as it really opened my eyes to what fashion was like in the 1900’s! I would to hear if any of you have ever been to this exhibition 🙂

The Perfectly Imperfect Tag!

Haii Again,

I am very happy today because I was nominated for the Perfectly Imperfect Tag by one of my absolute faveeeeee bloggers The Girl with Iron Wings! She is an AWESOME blogger who always produces awesome content!! I would definitely recommend you read her blog. (By The Way I was nominated for this tag more than a month ago so it is EXTREMELY belated, please don’t judge)

So basically this tag is all about embracing your perfections, improving your self esteem and loving yourself. I think it is such an awesome tag that has good intentions behind it! Lets get straight into it 🌸

R U L E S:

  1. Copy/paste the image of the tag in your post.
  2.  Make sure to share a little blurb about the creator of the tag.
  3. Give a shout out to the person who nominated you.
  4. Talk about what your strengths are, and what you love about yourself. These can range from anything positive about you, or your future aspirations and goals.’
  5. Who/what are you inspired by, and how do you want to make a difference.
  6. What’s your advice to those that struggle to love themselves, and to those that doubt themselves?
  7. Lastly nominate as many bloggers as you would like (ranging from 1 to whichever amount you choose) and let them know that you nominated them.

A   B I T   A B O U T   T H E   C R E A T O R:

So this tag was created by the blogger Aqsa, being honest I haven’t read her blog but I have heard many people say that she has an awesome blog! But I would like to thank her for creating the Perfectly Imperfect Tag. 🙂

M Y   S T R E N G T H S   A N D   W H A T   I   L O V E   A B O U T   M Y S E L F:

I would have to say that some of my strengths are my strong determination, my bravery and my loyalty to my friends and family. I think I am a very determined person as I rarely give up and always try my hard to overcome any challenges I face. I remember that when I was about 6 I couldn’t tie my shoelaces so I sat right in the middle of the room and kept try and trying to tie them for half an hour! Some things I love about myself are that I try and always look on the bright side of things, I am very kind to others, I am extremely resilient and I have very clear goals for the future.

W H O   I N S P I R E S   Y O U:

My mum would definitely be my biggest inspiration as she always helps me and encourages me to be the best person I could possibly be. She has supported me in everything I do and we always have so much fun together. I can’t even think about what my life would be like if she wasn’t in it ❤️

A D V I C E   T O   T H O S E   W H O   D O   N O T   L O V E   T H E M S E L V E S:

Learn to embrace who you are and accept that you’re not anyone else.  Cherish every moment you have where you can just embrace your own presence and understand how much you mean to everyone else around you. Think about the amazing qualities you possess and all of the good things about you. Do this and you will learn to love yourself more than ever before.

M Y  N O M I N E E S :

1. Simply Serenity

2. Amelia in Hull

4. Princess Blabber Mouth

5. Angel Spartaness

6. Tabi Bear

7. Vogelstand

So that was the Imperfectly Perfect Tag! I love doing these tags sooooo much especially when it is for a great reason, like spreading self love. If you liked this blog please be sure to like it and follow the blog.

My Favourite Workout Videos!

Hello there,

Today’s blog is going to be a tad  different to my usual blogs because it is going to be about my absolute favourite workout videos that motivate me and have great results. I know most people hate working out or even the idea of working out, but I love the feeling of accomplishment I get after finishing a workout and knowing that I am doing something good for my body. I would love to hear if you guys have any good workouts on youtube that you think I may like.

So here they are (in no particular order):

  1. 10 Minute Ab Workout by XHIT Daily – This was actually the first workout video that I tried and I really love it. It features ten different exercises for 30 seconds repeated twice that all help to get you a six pack.

Screen Shot 2017-10-01 at 2.51.55 pm

2. Cardio Workout 5 minutes by Bowflex – Cardio is one of my favourite types of workouts and I feel that this is a really great workout that you can easily do at home. It is simple and great for beginners. I actually repeat this video so I get a ten min cardio workout.

Screen Shot 2017-10-01 at 2.54.43 pm.png

3. Toned & Defined Arms Workout by Blogilates – This video is more of a recently discovered one as I was only introduced to the fitness youtube channel of Blogilates. When you first watch the workout you don’t think that the simple arm movements will hurt but they really do!

Screen Shot 2017-10-01 at 2.58.06 pm.png

4. 10 Minute Butt and Thigh Workout at Home by FitnessBlender – This particular workout video has great exercises that really hit the spot when you want to tone your butt and your thighs. This video would be particularly good for people who don’t want someone shouting at them to ‘keep going!’ or saying ‘Are you feeling the burn?!’.

Screen Shot 2017-10-01 at 3.02.46 pm.png

5. 30 Minute Dance Cardio by POPSUGAR Fitness – I don’t usually do dance workouts as I don’t feel they are as beneficial as normal cardio in my opinion. However, I really enjoy this fun dance workout as you can groove along to the music will doing something good for your body. It is much longer than my usual workout videos but when you do it time passes by quickly. It also has modifications if you want a less intense workout

Screen Shot 2017-10-01 at 3.20.31 pm.png

6. 3 Minute Ab Workout by XHIT Daily – I do actually love these three minute workouts as they mean I can do them anytime without having to be in a rush. I am always pleasantly surprised with how drastic the results are after I do this extremely quick workout.

Screen Shot 2017-10-01 at 3.35.00 pm.png

7. Total Body Tone Workout by Blogilates – I really do love this workout as it is slightly longer and focuses on practically all of the areas on my body I want to strengthen and tone like my arms, abs, butt,  back, and legs. I really like Blogilates as she is really encouraging and motivational in her videos.

Screen Shot 2017-10-01 at 3.46.05 pm.png

8. 10 Minute High Intensity Workout by XHIT Daily – This is another new workout that I have found and is one of the harder ones on this list as you only have very short breaks in between each exercise and is designed to get your heart pumping and make you sweat.

Screen Shot 2017-10-02 at 9.14.57 pm.png

So those were my favourite workouts (as of now) that I feel really benefit and motivate me to be my fittest and healthiest self. Tell me in the comments if you like these type of blogs (or not) or if you have any good workouts you would recommend. I really hope you liked this blog and if you did be sure to like it and follow this blog.

Dotti Accessories Haul!

Today I have a blog post a bit different from what I usually post, but I recently bought a bunch of stuff from an awesome website called Dotti. Dotti is a super cool fashion store featuring stunning dresses and just generally amazing clothing. It also has unbelievable accessories. I also love it because it is relatively cheap and doesn’t break your budget. They also have some amazing deals and sales that you will find out about right now…

Super Cute Animal Socks!!

These super cute animal themed socks were the first item that I spotted in the store as I have a growing obsession with any type of cute or unusual sock 😂 They are great fit and are crew style which I think is great as you can wear them with trainers without anything poking out. They also feel like they have a tiny bit of elastic which grasps onto your ankle which is super helpful as it makes sure the sock doesn’t fall off. (Don’t mind my hairy legs in the picture 😂)

See how cute they are! I couldn’t resist buying them! They were also such a good deal as you got 3 for ten dollars AUS where one is 6 dollars! When you buy the three together you save 8 dollars. Bargain!!!!

I was drawn to these socks instantly as elephants are one of my all time favourite animals and the two elephants kissing is too adorable for words 🐘

The next pair of socks were these kawaii giraffes on a grey sock with white dots that seem to be smiling at you :3 Cutest giraffes in the world.

The final pair of socks is just… just to freaking adorable for words. Even the words a fat panda eating food is just too damn cute 🐼

2 Stunning Phone Cases!!

As well as having a great deal on the socks, you could get two extraordinary kinda jelly like  phone cases for only 10 dollars! How amazing is that! Again, like the socks I just couldn’t resist. I loved the huge selection of phone  cases and it killed me having to pick just two 😭 It was also so cool to see that there was the same amount of phone cases for iphone 5’s as there was for the newer phones like the iphone 6 or 7.

The first phone case I got was this beautiful half transparent phone case with multi coloured feathers on it. I love the simplicity of this design and the awesome gradient of pastel colours on the feathers.

I also bought this henna style flower phone case that I adore. I especially love all of the intricate details in the design and that there is always something new to see when you look at the case.

Gorgeous Beanie with Pom Pom Ears!

This beanie is honestly just breathtaking. I normally actually hate beanies (please don’t kill me for saying that) as they always feel super uncomfortable and itchy. But I looooovvvvvvvveeeee this beanie as it is super soft and has is a great material. The tan colour is perfect and I love the added pom poms which I could stroke all day. This was such a great buy, especially for the low price of AUD $20!

FullSizeRender 2.jpg

Isn’t it adorable!

So that was my Dotti accessories haul! I hoped you enjoyed this blog and be sure to check out my other posts and follow this blog. I would love to hear in the comments if anyone has ever shopped at Dotti and what your favourite item was in this haul.

Please stay friendly in the comments section below and have a great day 🙂
